Sunshine Artist magazine, www.sunshineartist.com, has announced the release of its 2023 200 Best, ranking the most profitable art and craft festivals in the country based on artists’ reported sales in 2022.

Juried Artist & Three Specialty Markets

The core of the festival is the 200+ juried artists. Categories including; photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture, woodworking, ceramics, printmaking, glass and fine crafts.

Two Live Music Stages

Cities 97.1 Stage is located just north of the Hennepin Ave. Bridge along the Mississippi River.

Star Tribune Stage is located just south of the Stone Arch Bridge next to the food court in the parking lot of Mill Ruins Park.

Bailame Dance Festival Presents: “Dancing at the Bridge”

Bailame Dance Festival presents Dancing by the Bridge! Come find your groove on the Bailame Dance floor at the corner of Portland Avenue and West River Parkway. Bailame DJ’s will be spinning the sweet beats in Salsa, Bachata, Bollywood, Lindy Hop, and more. Ever wanted to learn Salsa? Bachata? East Coast Swing? All in one weekend? Join in on a free dance lesson from local studios, performances, and social dancing!

Family Activities Presented by UCare – Hosted by Mill City Museum

Families will find entertainment and activities in the Mill City Museum courtyard and surrounding area. 

  • Decorate a piece to add to the Reflecting the River art installation by Jorie Kosel
  • Build a tapestry with the Earth Loom using recycled fabric and textiles.
  • Make and Take Father’s Day project from UCare.
  • Sit in with the folks from Art to Change the World and create a little art
  • Learn and play with a Flour Grinding activity from Mill City Museum.

 
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE SUNDAY ONLY: Open Eye Theater driveway tour performing Tucker’s Robot on Sunday at 1 pm in the Mill City Museum Courtyard.

KaiBi Mobile Family Care Center

The KaiBi Mobile Family Care Center provides caregivers with a comfortable space to care for little ones. Change diapers, feed, nurse, pump or provide sensory comfort in an inviting, sanitary, and air-conditioned space with minimal interruption to your Stone Arch experience.

Look for the KaiBi trailer outside the Mill City Museum Courtyard.

Reflecting the River

A Collaborative Public Art Installation

In collaboration with Mill City Museum and the Stone Arch Bridge Festival, textile artist Jorie Ann Kosel will be creating a Mississippi-inspired tapestry on the fence at the base of the grain elevators along the West River Parkway. We are looking for material contributions from the community to create this piece.

Art of the Car Display

Show off your vintage and collected cars! Space is limited so register early. The show runs from 11 am – 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Location: The beautiful West River Parkway along the Mississippi river near N 4th Avenue.

UGLY TIE 5K Presented by the StarTribune

7th annual fun run brings families and friends together for a beautiful route along the Mississippi River. After the run, participants are greeted with beverages and encouraged to stay for more festival fun.
