Stone Arch Bridge Festival returns to the west side of the Mississippi River.

The festival grounds will span the riverfront area on W. River Parkway from 11th Ave S to N. 4th Avenue.

The Stone Arch Bridge is committed to providing a platform for artists to sell their work, and the community to gather safely. More than 200 artists and culinary artists will participate with a broad spectrum of artistic mediums.

It’s been a wildly busy June, and yesterday’s weather was a whirlwind. My motto for the weekend has been, “Go with the flow and don’t get too murdery.” Despite the chaos, I went with the flow and stayed relatively chill.
🤪🤪🤪
Even though it rained all day, yesterday turned out pretty alright. I hit my sales goal for the day and made a few meaningful connections that reminded me why I create art.

4 fests down, 2 to go! Thank you immensely to all that have come out to support the arts and thank you MOST of all to the crews who put on these art festivals! I know that it’s a huge undertaking and want to thank you profusely. An especially special thanks to Stone Arch Festival to giving me one of my best moments of my ten year career in ceramics by voting me the festival favorite in the ceramics category. I was speechless (except for the phrase “no way” over and over again). Everyone says it l, but truly, I appreciate the recognition for the thought and energy that I put into my pieces, especially when there are so many other incredible ceramic artists creating innovative work. I am so honored and I immediately hung my certificate up in my studio to remember that feeling.

The best word to describe this weekend is WHIRLWIND. After a rough first day due to lots of rain and mud, the people of Minneapolis showed up to prove it’s all worth it in the end!

Thank you @stonearch_fest for a wonderful weekend. The rain and heat made it tricky but the people showed up to celebrate artists, fun food, fancy cars and all the things that Stone Arch Bridge Festival brings. It’s a Minnesota gem.

Thank you to all the Zelba + Mary supporters who came out this weekend. Your lovely and kind words make me so happy and proud.

A couple of my favorite stories of the weekend include the nice man from New York who bought one of our friends for his daughter because when she was young and he traveled he always bought little things for her. She’s 26 now but he still wanted to get her something. It was so fun to watch him take his time to pick the perfect one.

I loved the two different families with two little girls each that were very generous in my 10x10 and when they walked away with their packages in hand looked at their dads and sad “happy Father’s Day dad”. Queue smiling dad hugs.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my last interaction of the festival. A sweet family, mom, dad and daughter who were all deaf came into my 10x10 at the end of day on Sunday and found the little girls new best friend. Our interaction was easy and sweet and so kind. We spoke completely different languages but the conversation was lovely.

Also…I love a good corn dog and let me tell you, the corn dogs from @fairfaves are the best! Super crunchy outside, lots of moist corn batter on the inside. It was lunch both days.

So, thank you @stonearch_fest and all the lovely people who attended the festival. You make it possible for all of us to keep making our art.

You guys, for years it’s been a goal of mine to win an award at a show, but it’s never happened, UNTIL TODAY!!! 🤩
