2019 Poster Artist

2019 Festival Poster!

 

The Stone Arch Bridge Festival selected local artist Brian Geihl to create the 25th anniversary Collector’s Poster. Each year an artist is asked to capture the spirit of the Minneapolis Riverfront for a special limited release poster. Brian Geihl did this stunningly in a screen print featuring a compilation of the Minneapolis skylines engulfed by a brilliant sky and anchored by the iconic Stone Arch Bridge.

Geihl will be a featured artist at the festival this year (booth #101) and will have the 2019 Collector’s Poster available for purchase. The image will also be featured on a reusable tote bag available for purchase at all festival information booths.

Artist Bio:

Brian Geihl

I am a Minneapolis based printmaker and owner of Dogfish Media. My subject matter is based on things that I love. This includes Twin Cities architecture, sports, music, cycling and the outdoors.

My style ranges from photo realist imagery to illustrated line work. The color palette tends to be bright and cheerful. I often utilize ink blends to create secondary colors that build harmony throughout the piece.

Career stuff aside, I’m a big fan of sports, the outdoors and photography. Skiing, fishing, golfing and camping are among the many activities I enjoy. I especially love spending time with my wife and two sons.
